What You Can Expect From The New iPhone 13

What You Can Expect From The New iPhone 13

The new iPhone 13 launch seems to be weeks away now and finally, Apple’s launch for its new smartphones is coming into clear focus for all the fans out there. However, unlike other leaks for previous lineups, the revelations for this year’s iPhone are surprisingly clear. From everything that’s come out so far, it is expected that the new phones will offer a 120Hz LTPO display on both the Pro models, improved battery life, and a more efficient and faster 5G network system. The iPhone 13 also comes with lots of camera upgrades, including a new portrait video mode.

The iPhone 13 Design

Revelations have hinted at the reduction of the iPhone’s notch this year and that the change will reflect on every new model henceforth. Some other rumors have also suggested that at least one model of the iPhone will also be launched without a port, which means that charging will take place only via MagSafe technology. An always-on display is also supposed to grace the new iPhones.

Lots of iPhone 13 dummies have been analyzed by AppleInsider and they show some of the top design changes that are due to come to the phones this year. The changes include the reshifting of the speaker towards the top of the device, a diagonal camera setup, and an even larger camera module at the back of the device. Some rumors also say that the iPhone 13 Pro Max could be even larger than the iPhone 12 Pro Max in terms of dimensions and the size of the camera module.

Some leaks and reports have also said that Apple will achieve a notch reduction by combining the currently separated infrared flood illuminator and the sensor and dot projector into a single module. Because the phone will remove two sensors, the notch is supposed to become smaller. A report from Digitimes also says that the die size of the VCSEL chips that are used in the Face Scanner will shrink by 40% in the new iPhones, which could further reduce the size of the notch.

iPhone 13 Launch Date

Despite the delays the company faced due to the coronavirus, Apple plans to launch iPhone 13 in September. A report by analyst firm Wedbush suggests that the iPhone 13 will debut in the third week of September and that preorders for the new phones could start coming in the week before. However, it is still unclear whether the phones would be launched on time, keeping in mind the several delays Apple faced last year with the launch of the iPhone 12.

iPhone 13 Colors

The new iPhone 13s are supposed to launch with beautiful colors: black, silver, rise gold and sunset gold. Rumors have it that the iPhone 13 could also come in pink. Other rumors have heard that the new color options for the iPhone 13 Pro lineup could include a matte black and an orange color.

iPhone 13 Prices

Although price expectations are usually hard to track, they can be reasonably assumed from the prices of the iPhone 12 – $699, $799, $999 and $1,099, respectively. These predictions are made on the observation that Apple tends to keep the prices of its new phones relatively closer to the launch prices of the previous phones. A report by TrendForce has said that the prices for the iPhone 13 will be “relatively on par” with the iPhone 12 models.

iPhone 13 Battery

The iPhone 12 maxes out at 20W charging capacity. However, rumors point to Apple extending their charging to 25W this year. The new phones could also offer reverse wireless charging which would allow the iPhone to charge devices like the AirPods Pro and Apple Watch wirelessly.

Conclusion

All that’s left now is to wait for Apple to announce its launch dates and launch events for the millions of Apple fans out there waiting for the latest iPhone 13s.
